At Nachen

In 5529CE, after a journey of 160 years, the Osiran exile ship Lady of the Night limped into the Nachen system with nearly three million refugees aboard. Originally docking at the deteriorating outer planetary Ring structure, some 1200 kilometers above Nachen's surface, the Lady of the Night strained to maintain it gravity repulsors in the suborbital environment of the fixed structure, and its residents received a cold reception from Lord President John Ballan's government. Eventually relocating to an orbit around the outer system gas giant Grunnarberg, the Osirans remained reluctant subjects of the Nachen government, weathering occupation by subsequent pirate rulers Jens Truvail and Garmin the Black.
