Europa Cave
Settlement of Europa was hampered by Jupiter's deadly radiation belts. Luckily a few meters of the icy surface provided adequate shielding, but until portable superconducting shields became available, all facilities remained deep under the ice, facing inward toward the dark ocean and away from the merciless sky.
