Great Nebular City

Floating through the outer Armpit Nebula, the Great Nebular City has remined the capital of the Federation of Orion since its completion in 5500CE.  Each of the city's six platforms are over two kilometers across.  Alpha Saucer, the middle section, houses the offices of the President, Congress and Supreme Justices of the Federation and much of the top bureaucracy.  Zeta Saucer, with its huge inverted pyramid, holds a vast entertainment complex, by the 58th Century often home to the Orion Expositions.  The starport and industrial Eta Saucer accommodates over a hundred starship berths and houses industries from transuranic refinement to biogenic development.  Over seven million residents live in the four residential saucers.
