Pod Landing

The 4 meter landing pod is a versatile small short-ranged vehicle, whose many variants have been utilized by starfaring Late Macrojump cultures in the 23rd and 29th centuries and again after the 57th century. The pod functions as a small landing craft or a lifeboat on small vessels, doubling as an airlock while still attached to its mothership. This model was used by the Ministry of Science during the early years of expansion under of the Empire of Humanity, resurveying worlds and extending exploration beyond the old Confederation border.
