Shepard HQ
The League of Independent Races, representing the less powerful or populous interstellar species within the sphere of Human Space, was established in 6145CE, and soon grew to encompass over a dozen races. In 6191CE the League established a permanent headquarters at Schalmar Durgha, a shepherd moon of a gas giant in an otherwise uninhabited Sector 42 system. Within decades this hundred kilometer long body became honeycombed with tunnels, sported a vast pressured chamber at its South Pole to accommodate the massive Jovian Cubics, and became a center for diplomacy and trade among its member Races and many Human and Alien states.
