The Gas Drinkers

This was my illustration of a story for Writers of the Future Volume XXIII.  Didn't win the grand prize, but the workshop and awards stuff was a great time.  The story is by Edward Sevcik.  Buy a copy of the book, read it.  This picture is on page 390 of the paperback.  (Also available as an audio book and a Science Fiction Book of the Month Club selection)
