Return To Orbit

The terrformation of Venus took two centuries to complete.  During the first phase, bombardments of cometary and Kuiper bodies up forty kilometers in diameter were frequent. The few staffed surface stations were only intermittently occupied, and all personnel evacuated to High Aphrodite before the bombardment began.  Last minute glitches sometimes delayed departure until the last possible second.
