Today we're back to having two cats in our house. I've included pictures and you can click on them for a larger image.
Shadow is our girl. She's is the oldest. Karen got her in August 1994 when Shadow was just a little kitten.

Joe D Cat (who I call Joseph when I'm being formal and Joe-Joe when I'm not) showed up on Thanksgiving Day, 1994, asking for a home. He was about five months old at the time. We gave him a home and he's stayed ever since. He's a very friendly cat.

Since we've been together, three of our cats have passed away.
Splat D Cat we we always called Dee-Dee or Dee-Dee Gato, was sitting on my doorstep in September 1999 when I came back from taking Karen up to Whistler and proposing to her. I guess he showed up to let me know that now I was a cat person, too. He was about 3 or 4 when he showed up. In the spring of 2008 he start feeling bad and had trouble with a paw. it turned out to be cancerous, and in just a few weeks it had spread all over his body. Poor Dee-Dee will always be my first kitty and friend. He passed away on May 19, 2008, the day before our eighth wedding anniversary.

Frisker, Karen's favorite cat (and first husband, she insists) had been with her since 1986, when he was a little three month old kitten. He died on March 3, 2004.

Smokey, who had been with Karen since 1988, when he was already fairly old, died on September 25, 2001.
