I bought a new digital camera this year, a Kodak DX 6490 with 10x optical zoom and 4.1 megapixel resolution. It is equipped with a 256MB card, so it stores more pictures than I take in a year. The pictures came out nice, so I'll share some from our various adventures so far this year.
Our first trip was back to Illinois in March. We stayed at my parents, visited with Stig and family down in Champaign and went to our niece Shakun's baptism.

As we were getting ready to leave Illinois, we received word that my grandfather was very ill. My mother went back to Norway immediately and my grandfather died on April 1, 2004 at the age of 100 years, 191 days. My grandmother had died on December 18, 2003, at the still respectable age of 97, so I decide I needed to travel back to Norway for my grandfather's funeral in April. It was a short trip and the weather was questionable, but there was one nice day, when I took these pictures.

After returning home I thought I should at least take a picture our house that show the back yard and our recent home improvements, including the roof, the deck and the air conditioner.
